NYX has recently released another addition to their “Butter” line with the new Intense Butter Gloss. They have the same great moisturizing feel and yummy smell as the original Butter Gloss but with about 10x more pigment. These glosses are more opaque and comparable to a shiny liquid lipstick. They perform much like the original Butter Gloss, they apply easily, are slightly sticky (but that’s just the nature of a wet gloss) and last for about 3-4 hours. The only real difference is that the Intense Butter Gloss will leave a stain on your lips especially the darker shades.

Today we have another purple lip product.
…. or nah. We all know I’m obsessed with purple lips. I told myself I was going to stop buying so many purples but this one was an Christmas gift.
Gerard Cosmetics are all over YouTube so I’m sure you’ve seen them before. The gloss comes in a really cute sleek package with a gold top. There’s a mirror on one side and the top has a light inside so you can apply lipgloss in the dark. Wild Orchid is SO pigmented. I would definitely consider it more of a shiny liquid lipstick than a gloss because it’s so opaque and it lasts for so long on the lips. This shade did stain my lips slightly which I actually like because it helps the product stay on a little longer.

I was finally able to get my hands on some of the new Milani lip glosses for Spring 2014, available in 14 shades. I picked up two shimmery shades Luminous, a pink with gold shimmer, and Nude Touch, a champagne-y nude.
I swatched these on my arm because it was very hard to capture the subtle differences in the shimmer on my pigmented lips.
These glosses have a nice formula, not too sticky but still lasts for about 4 hours, and they have no strange taste either. I also have been loving these glosses over my nude lipsticks which I’ve been obsessing over this season. The shimmer gives my nude lips a lil pop that I am loving lately.
Instagram can be a beauty lovers heaven (or hell lol). I had been seeing a lot of posts about Dose of Colors lipglosses and when I saw these purples I knew I had to try them. Luckily for me they DoC a 25% off sale for Black Friday and I was able to snag Toxic and Purple Fusion.
Both shades are really creamy and smooth to apply with the doe foot applicator. As you can see they are both very opaque for a lipgloss. They actually remind me of the Maybelline Color Elixirs but with much better color payoff. Both shades wore for about 4 hours and Toxic left a slight stain effect even after it wore off.
Overall I’m definitely feeling these DoC lipglosses and will definitely be picking up a few more in the future, particularly Burning Love & Attitude.
