It depends, I love “inspired” pieces but true forgeries or “knock offs” not my thing. So while browsing my favorite store, Target, for some back to school pieces I came across quite a few shoes that are basically identical to some Steve Madden shoes I had been eyeing.
Heeled Combat Boot
But I actually don’t think it’s a coincidence that Target has
nearly identical shoes to Steve Madden. Target just launched a new shoe collection for girls, “Stevies”, which is “designed” by Steve Madden’s daughter. The Stevies line even features a combat boot and a quilted sneaker that look exactly like the adult versions above. My guess is that the two brands knowingly share designers and designs. Initially I wasn’t sure what to think, but after mulling it over I’m kind of here for it. I can get trendy shoes I’ll probably only wear for one or two season without a hefty price tag. Sounds like a win for me!
What do you think?
Music and food festivals are the highlight of the summer for me. Although they’re usually hot, crowded, sweaty, and a lot of walking I like to look fashionable the whole time.
Please leave the cultural appropriation at home tho!
Target always knocks it out of the park with their designer collaborations. This year they teamed up with the iconic “American resort wear” brand Lilly Pullitzer to make a huge collection that includes clothing for women and girls, accessories, home goods, and beauty products! The collection is all about bold prints, lots of color, and GOLD. I personally don’t wear much color but I’m kinda obsessed with this collection. As soon I saw the high waist bikinis I was smitten.

My Tips on Body Confidence
“Swimsuit season” and vacations can be a body image nightmare, for those of us who are not Victoria’s Secret Models. My number one tip for feeling good about yourself is wearing something that you’re comfortable in. I don’t like my tummy but I love bikinis so I wear high waist swim bottoms aka the fatkini. I’m comfortable in it & I they make me feel cute and confident. Another thing I had to remember that out of 5,000+ people on that cruise ship, I would only ever see ONE of them again in life, my best friend. So if the other 4,999 people thought I looked ridiculous, who cares? I spent my money to go have fun not worry about what other people think. I’m never going to see them again so I pushed my doubts to the side for a week and I had a great time.
