I’m trying to get back in the swing of posting here so today I’m sharing something a little different than my usual beauty posts.
I’ve been planning a trip to Los Angeles in August as a little post-graduation treat to myself. I’ve been wanting to get back to LA forever to meet up with a few friends and just have a chill time on the West Coast.
I’m super anal when it comes to planning vacations so I created a fun google map to help me organize some of my ideas that I’ll be updating up until the day I leave. lol.
Where I’ll Be Staying
I really put together the map to help me figure out the best place to stay while we’re on LA. I know traffic is a bitch and I want to spend more time having fun and very little sitting in an Uber. So I decided to stay in the Hollywood Hills area because it’s close to a lot of attractions, restaurants, and some of the places that I want to visit. There weren’t a lot of hotels that I liked so I decided to go with an Airbnb
& this is the one we finally decided on. The spacious open layout & the full kitchen were the real deciding factors here.
What I’ll Be Doing
As we all know I’m obsessed with beauty so I can’t go to LA without visiting some of my favorite beauty retailers. Naimies, Frends Beauty, Nigel Beauty Emporium and Morphe Brushes.
I’ve also been dying to get to a Korean spa because Korean skincare is the GOAT. LA has a ton in Koreatown but I think I’ve decided on the 24 hour Wi Spa.
I’m really trying to do more than just shop and chill on my vacations these days. So I snagged some tickets to the Rain Room at the LACMA which I’ve been wanting to visit. I’ve heard The Getty Center is beautiful. I’m also considering making a quick stop to Universal Studios because HARRY POTTER!!
I’ve got to take a hike at the famous Runyon Canyon while in LA and visit Venice Beach for a little outdoor fun.
The last but most important thing on my list is FOOD! Since I’ll have a kitchen to cook I want to visit the Hollywood Farmer’s Market to shop. I also want to go to Smorgasburg LA which is basically a “flea market” for food every Sunday.
And that’s basically all I’ve got so far! I’m definitely looking for more food reccomendations? Who has the best tacos? What else should I see/do while I’m there? Let me know in the comments below!
