So I’ve been looking for a cheaper alternative to “Baby Foot” Exfoliating Foot Masks every since I heard of them. I just couldn’t bring myself to splurge on the $18 one time use exfoliating socks >.< Luckily I came across a similar but cheaper alternative at my local Ulta, the Absolute New York Exfoliating Foot Mask. For only $7, I just couldn’t pass it up.
Formulated with natural fruit extracts, botanical acids, as well as salicylic acid, the Exfoliating Foot Mask from Absolute New York is a revitalizing foot treatment that gently removes calluses gradually to yield natural, fresher and visibly smoother heels and feet. Papaya, lemon, apple and orange extracts effectively diminish hardened skin, while calming chamomile extract soothes. Paraben free. Not tested on animals.
I wore the foot masks for 90 minutes while relaxing at the house, I will admit my feet were pretty neglected so I was curious to see how well the booties would work. The gel had a very cool, almost tingly sensation while wearing the plastic booties. I wish that the plastic booties had some type of tabs or ties to keep them tight around your ankles but I just used some tape I had bc I didn’t want them to slip off accidentally if I moved around.
After 90 minutes I rinsed my feet off and went on about my day. As stated, it took a few days for my feet to start peeling. The skin on the tops of my feet started to gently peel off after 2-3 days but the bottom of my feet didn’t have any peeling until about 5 days later. I was expecting my skin to peel off in sheets like I’ve seen in other reviews but my skin just kind of flaked off in little bits, mostly after I showered each day. After 8-9 days my skin on the sole of my feet was pretty smooth and the my calluses were diminished. I would have liked to have a bit more dramatic results but overall I’m very pleased with the results from a $7 foot mask (probably less because I always have Ulta coupons) I think that I’ll actually order another pack of these foot masks and give them another go to see if I get any different results the second time.
