Swatched: ColourPop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks on Brown Skin
I mentioned in my ColourPop shadow haul that I also ordered some lippies but never got around to sharing. The day has finally come!
Of course I’ve ordered more since my original haul so I’m going to show you my complete current collection of ColourPop’s Ultra Matte liquid lipsticks including some of their newest shades from their Fall 2015 limited edition collections.
(L-R) Bad Habit, More Better, Be-Dazzled, Guess, Beeper, Kapow, Chilly Chill, Limbo, LAX
Be-dazzled, Guess, Beeper, and Kapow are from a limited edition collection which released in August and is still available (at the time of this post).
Bad Habit, More Better, and Chilly Chill are from a second fall limited edition collection which released in October and are also still available (at the time of this post).
ColourPop cranks out collections insanely fast but I love that they usually restock & keep shades around for a while so you shouldn’t have any problems finding these if you’re interested. I plan on ordering a backup for “Beeper” soon because I am IN LOVE with it, perfect brown girl nude!
I love all of the shades that I picked up but I have noticed some inconsistencies in the formula across the colors. The permanent shades and those from the August release tend to have a thinner consistency and dry very quickly. They aren’t uncomfortable to wear to me, but as with most super matte lipsticks, they’re not moisturizing at all. I noticed that the shades from the October release seemed slightly thicker and did not dry as fast. They were slightly more comfortable to wear. Inconsistencies aside they both wore for about the same time for me, around 7-8 hours, even then most of the fading was in the center of my mouth (from eating, drinking, etc).
Honestly, I’m a little addicted to these Ultra Mattes, for $6 each you really can’t beat it! They’re always releasing new shades so I’m constantly adding to my list.
Comment below if you would like to see any shades swatched on my lips, I tried to spare them the agony of 9 matte lipstick swatches, so I just used my arm!
