Swatched: NYX Prismatic Eyeshadows [Swatched on Brown Skin]
Is there a such thing as having too much eyeshadow?
Probably so, but I refuse to acknowledge that as a part of my life.
I recently got my hands on some of NYX’s Prismatic Eyeshadows. These shadows have that “gel-cream but still a powder” texture thats becoming very popular amongst beauty brands lately. They feel very smooth and creamy to the touch and apply with pretty much no fall out. Because of the texture I had the best application with these using a nice synthetic eyeshadow brush or my fingers to really pack on the color & then blending out the edges with a fluffy brush. All of the shades are super pigmented and have a beautiful shimmery, almost foiled, finish.
I highly recommend wearing these shadows over a primer, gel-cream shadow formulas are known to crease and these are no exception. I like to test everything for the first time without any primers/bases and I got about 6 hours of wear without using a primer but I did experience creasing after about 1-2 hours.
I tried to pick a favorite shade out of these but I really can’t. I love all of the colors that I picked up! “Bedroom Eyes” is the perfect “MLBS: My Lids but Shimmery” shade for me so I think I’m going to get the most use of out it especially on my lazy I-only-have-time-for-one-shadow-days.
